Week 1 was where we introduced Business Informatics and commenced a semester long discussion of where Business is going wrong with Technology. It’s not all doom and gloom, but there are many things to think about for Business in the 21st Century. This course gives you that opportunity – allows you to think outside the box. This lecture started with 5000 Web Apps in 333 Seconds from SimpleSpark. It kind of sets the mood as it’s fast-paced and quick-moving. It allows us to start to question how we manage to keep up with all the changes, which, of course, is a central theme of Business Informatics. We had two stories to introduce systems thinking, another core theme of the course. Those stories were:
